i don't like to play with nuts ;)
last night, went to the Holland V branch Settler's Cafe with Mike, Mon and Gary. It was Mon's idea to double date. it turned out super fun!! we played Blackmail (a locally designed game) and Taboo. Taboo was hilarious. it was The Babes VS The Men. in addition to the purple squeaky device provided to distract the opposing team, we invented our own methods of irritation. throwing nuts around, kissing, tickling, covering ears and eyes, flashing cameras etc. here's some evidence =p
WWF tactics.
Paparazzi.
The Babes.
The Men.alas, The Babes became The Loser Babes at the end of the night. bah. revenge next time!! at least it was real fun. Gary said he actually dreaded it whenever Mon mentioned 'double date', but now he's looking forward to more games. more sabotaging to come. nyehheheh. MMMM, all the best for the pagaent, and do get Gary to join! =)oh yeah. something real amusing happened before all that. while driving out of Mike's place some idiot ran across the front of the car. was about to curse him when Mike realised it was one of his men. that crazy ass then proceeded to LIE DOWN ON THE ROAD RIGHT BENEATH MY CAR so i couldn't drive forward. another member in ambush appeared to videocam us. waaaa!!!!!! they actually stalked Mike for 2 hours!!! hahaaha crazy nutters!

jitterbugs in my stomach
had hiphop class at jitters today with Mon. it was a refreshing thing to do, cos i've not been dancing hiphop for soooo long. the moves were not bad, cept they involved alot of arm muscle power, which...i am sadly lacking. haha... well it wasn't so bad though. at least i got a good work out. and a bruise from the floor work.
after that went to east coast park with Mon and Gary to blade. first time in 10 years! i felt quite silly at first with everyone else zooming past me. oh wells at least now i can move forward without any major accidents happening. fell down once though but luckily it was a superbly clean fall. *smug look* no scratches wadsoever. i'm good! hahaha..before all that i had lunch with dear '2LTM'. even though we only spent a little over 2 hours together, words can't describe how wonderful i felt.

my lovely Rag team
spent the whole afternoon teaching the freshies dance for Rag day. it's been a long journey, ever since the planning for Rag started last december. together with my Dance Head Glady and co-choreographer Crystal, the past 2 weeks have been spent painstakingly marking out dance steps. the next 3 weeks is gonna be tough, 'cos full dress rehearsal and Rag Day is just round the corner.teaching is not my cup of tea, and i must admit i'm having some difficulty with it. however, my job is peanuts compared to the rest of the main committee. my Rag Head, Danny, is going crazyyyyyy getting everything coordinated. the co-Rag Heads Jiaxin and Joanne, are struggling with admin work plus helping all the cells in whatever way they can. the Design team is working so damn hard, 24/7. Chief Designer Olivia is giving her all to this event. that day while walking towards us she did a Oscar worthy faint right to the floor. that girl is so tired but so awesome!! our very own Edna Mode. Co-Designer Donald even came up with these amazing 3D animations just so the freshies will understand what's going on. the costume cell is juggling 70+ sets of costumes AND more props. they are gonna have to slog many overnights just so our dancers look great. there are days when people get frustrated and talk to others a little more harshly. but i'm glad that no one takes it personally because things have to get done and some unlucky guy has to be in control. today i told my dancers to voice out any unhappiness they have and not to keep things to themselves. 'cos if they bottle up any resentments they're gonna end up hating someone and it will most likely be me!=( i certainly don't wanna be known as The Horrible Dance Instructor. luckily, they all were smiling and nodding while i was talking to them. that's a good sign no? i was looking sterner as usual (well, not really. just not smily..) but inside my heart i was feeling really comforted.it is the friendships formed that make everything that much better. when you are down and out, the knowledge that there are a dozen others who care about you just has the unexplainable ability to make you feel all warm and fuzzy. looking forward to the next few weeks, when the bonds forged will only become stronger. there will be endless repetitions, criticisms, modifications, improvements. i'm just gonna go enjoy all the sweat, the exhaustion, and of course the incomprehensible joy :)

fly to slovakia...
on your first class air ticket and don't bother coming back. "The NKF Board and its CEO, Mr TT Durai, have offered to resign in order to give Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan a free hand on restoring public confidence." what do you mean, offered? ok, maybe you just did a great public service by quitting because you were the one who started sueing a newspaper editor for alleged defamation. well. it is indeed an honourable thing you did by bringing the case to court, because you just showed Singapore what NKF does with our money. i don't think you could have done anything else besides stepping down, after annihilating the credibility of NKF. and then you left a huge mess behind. the originally kind intentions of NKF now seem ridiculous. it is already questionable, the 'attractive' prizes of cars, condominiums and cold hard cash. all these prizes are offered to the public in order to entice them to donate. a logical deduction would be.. the money we donate is being used to reward random people who might already be well off...so what's the point. AND now the CEO uses the public's money to fly first class, for a S$600,000 annual salary and for erm..lavish toilet fittings. it's just absurd."Pending completion of these reviews, the NKF will suspend all active fund-raising activities. This follows the request of the NKF Board for the Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan's assistance to help restore public confidence. And they offered to resign in order to give Mr Khaw a free hand on this."ho ho, trying to scoot after a nasty break up?the more i read, the more disgusted i am. it is just plain embarrassing. now that so many people are terminating their monthly GIRO donations, what happens to the patients who truly need the money? that moron should have thought about the consequences before executing his brainless moves. in the first place, what was he doing as CEO!?

whatever happened...
to the old me.my mindset between a year ago and now, whatever happened to it? i used to be one of those girls who just lived a normal life, going out with friends/boyfriend on weekends, working part time jobs, fortnightly parties, occasionally-indulgent shopping and gym classes. all i do now, although it's the holidays and i should be trying to brush up on some knowledge at least, is party, drink, get drunk, sleep for 12 hours, struggle through the day, and repeat the cycle a couple of days later. i am unwilling to take advice, i do whatever i feel like, and sometimes i don't give a fuck about people around me.i think i am escaping from something, but i don't know what. i'm coming to relish this punishing of my body. pushing myself to the brink of collapse. a recent visit to a sinseh for a recurring ankle sprain ended up with a blood clot being suctioned out of my ankle, the discovery of my lower-than-thou blood pressure, an apparently cranky ovary that is giving me cramps, and a general weakness of my body. when the sinseh pressed on this particular point on my leg, it hurt so badly i shot up from a lying position to one of sitting and was grabbing the curtains for dear life. i hope he hasn't come to the conclusion that my liver is suffering from cirrhosis or something. and i hope i haven't come to the point of no return.

addicted to exhaustion?
i haven't been blogging the past 5 days already? i thought i just posted.have been busy with teaching dance to the freshies in school for Rag. it's damn tiring. new people have been coming in everytime for the last 3 sessions and we have had to teach from the start three times. and since they are new to the dance, i have to dance with them all the time. and i have to do it full out to make it look nice so they will be motivated to do it well too. i am so bloody tired and aching all over. oh. on top of all that, teaching dance while nursing a hangover. it is..an interesting experience.well, not that my exhaustion is not self imposed. wednesday night i went for a waitressing job (those freelance event-based types) at the Parkview Square. you know that gothic looking building around Bugis? yeah that's the one. it was the New York City Olympic Council cocktail reception. i didn't see no celebrities. unless you count Hilary Clinton and Eunice Olsen as celebrities. no Beckham, no Thorpe and no Mohammed Ali. how boring. anyway, i'm not complaining. the night was super slack, cos all we had to do was collect plates and the drinks were taken care of by the bar there. after that went down to Zouk. long queue and full house for Phuture, but thanks to Yan's friend Jon, me and Dawn were able to go in. those guys are crazy. they ordered 5 trays of shooters. and 8 flamings. i don't know what they had before i came. Yan was already high. and so we downed some shooters and Dawn decided to meet her friends and i had the flaming. i was flying in no time. hehehe.went to look for MMMM, Ps and Mag on the dance floor. after much dizzyness, sms-ing and clawing through the thick crowd, managed to locate MMMM as she was waving her phone. how smart!! haha.. we screamed, we rejoiced, we hugged and kissed. and we partied hard. after some time, i got EXTREMELY high. and i did some things. for a brief description, refer to MMMM's blog. i don't think i will post the 'blow-by-blow' details. sorry. ;)today is supposed to be rest day. i just woke up from a 14 hour sleep. shioks. but later am going down to school to help with the Rag day float building. yawns.

chill and relax
have been catching up on girly activity and picking up a new hobby the past couple of days.
on fri went over to Xin's condo over at keppel for a dip in the pool. though i have one right downstairs. haha its just more fun to go to a new condo and chill out with girlfriends.

here's Shana showing off her muscles.

monkey faced.
on sat, started my first salsa class. it's really quite fun! though when the music gets fast feet tend to tangle or stay rooted. haha. Yz is damn enthu about the whole thing and has already planned out salsa tuition with his friend who lives a few minutes away from him. take a chill pill.
last night, my cousin Dawn and i went to Walas at Holland V. checked out local band Unexpected, got a couple of drinks, and also lazed in her car for girl talk. i'm really happy for her as she has found the guy who makes her feel nothing less than a true princess.

that's the kind of guy that girls love. it's not about transient things like money, looks and talk. it's the way they constantly consider your needs before their own, go out of their way just so you feel better, and their actions show that you matter more to them than anything else.
sounding sappy over here, forgive me!
