dream always

once or twice in a lifetime, we get something that we've always wanted, always dreamt of.

when we first get it, the natural reaction would be to really treasure it.

(imagine that toy that you pestered your parents for 3 months and finally got it when you were 4.)

after some time, the object of desire unknowingly becomes an object of expire. not that it was intentional, but it's just something that most people do subconciously. its like. hey!!!hi!hi.hi..eh. (you get what i mean dunch you)

it's hard to make dreams come true, but even harder to make the magic last.

right now things can't be more perfect, and i hope i never ever take things for granted. i'll be a happy soul then :)

cookies and sticks

played mahjong at Mike's place this afternoon with Mon and Gary!

Miss MMMM, despite claiming to be the beginner, happily ate all the tiles Gary discarded. after some time, Gary just got paranoid about throwing out his tiles, cos Mon has this ability to eat about ANY tile. what a scavenger! hahah..

it was a simple way to spend the day, but it was fun and lighthearted, good for a rainy sunday :) and good because it's Monday tomorrow, and Mondays are always dreaded.... so at least we had a pleasant sunday :)

yesterday was perfectly simple as well. spent the day at Mike's too, had Mac's big breakfast, then watched Troy, went for a dip in the pool, and then i went for my last SalsaI class. after that, met up with Mike and some of his friends to watch Valiant, that cartoon about birds in the royal bird air force or something. it was quite funny, but still doesn't alleviate my fear of birds.

oh! i signed up for SalsaII classes already!! starts 10th Sept, Cuban style. can't wait to start!! =D

it's a shoe in!

alright, i've been passed the 'count-ur-shoes' baton by Mon. hmm.

the collage's kinda blur, but can see la huh. starting from top left corner:

black, sensible looking shoes i got for waitressing

maroon mary janes from a Bata shop in Malacca, never worn.

candy coloured striped kitten heels from VNC, worn a couple of times.

killer black ankle-strapped heels for Salsa-ing, VNC.

discipline-mistress looking black peep-toe slingbacks from Scholl. got them like...in sec4? to go with my cheongsam. has been forgotten until now.

hardy Hush Puppies. haven't worn for ages. hey. they could replace my battered clubbing heels.

green-gold heels from Charles&Keith. the first time i wore them, it got stuck in mud. wth.

white and olive heels from VNC.

pink slippers from DSI (a Sri Lanka shoe chain like our Bata). never worn. only $1!!

retro style white and blue shoes from Bangkok. they make alot of noise when i walk, the heel's made of metal or what. i dunno.

silver heels from URS i got for jc prom night!

erm...bright yellow slippers from DSI. haven't worn, and i haven't discovered what made me buy them.

my comrade-in-battle trusty URS black clubbing heels. they are in a seriously sorry state now, but in the dark no one can tell. hahaha

sweet looking pointy-toes from Bangkok. not too comfortable.

my favourite pair of heels. white with pink polka dots! so nice! from Trendy Zone at Far East Plaza but i HARDLY wear them cos they are super duper blister-inducing. sob...

pointy-toed black stilettos for NJC dance night 2004. i'm proud of the fact i can do hip-hop in them :D right Mon?

the ultimate Adidas sneakers. worn them from jc till now, but still very wearable. the laces are missing cos my mum washed them, but i'll find them soon enough!

what do you call these. maroon..uh..quilted? sneakers? as forgotten as ever. think they are from Everbest.

birks lookalike but from Tangs Studio. very durable, and very frequently worn!

the most comfy pair of trainers you can ever find, from Adidas. so soft and cushy and bouncy! i'm afraid to dirty them cos they are beige. anyway, i seldom wear them, cos i don't exercise.

latest footwear addition, beige and pink sneakers from Nike. just looks cool.

Adidas trainers. grey and orange. hmm. they are the kinda shoes i have no compliments for, but no complains either :)

white...slip on shoes? from Charles&Keith. preppy looking.

alrite..that's about all. have a few other slip-ons and slippers but they are too worn out to be exhibited hahhaa.

it's amazing how happily contented i feel, just sitting on the couch with him to watch a movie.

the way he blows a kiss when i lie on his tummy and look up at him.

how time whizzes by, even if we were just walking around doing nothing.

with him around, even eating fast food is fun :p

move over presley!!!

the School of Design and Environment can design better than you business fellas. =)

RAG today was smashing. we got FIVE awards, up from zero last year. i can still remember when it all started..

'and the least-cost float award goes to..the School of Design and Environment!!!'

'Best Float design for faculty.... School of Design and Environment!!'

ok, just imagine a whole bunch of pple screaming their lungs out and jumping up and down, waving flags and sitting on each other's shoulders under the scorching mid-day sun.

all THAT, followed by Best Float Presentation, and Best Float comissioned by the President of NUS. just think. it seems almost surreal up till now, but we did it!!!! we made a utter clean sweep. yum.

i don't usually laugh at others, but the business fac was unlucky and didn't get anything this year, when usually they get everything. ho ho.

the Rag Committee, together with the freshie performers and supporters have each other to thank for what we have achieved. we got so damn high today. the guys kowtowed to the float, members of the committee got tossed repeatedly into the air, water was splashed around, many shed tears of joy, countless hugs, the triumphant thrust of awards into the air. it's so unbelievable.

AND, we might be appearing in next year's Chingay 'cos one of the judges who organised Chingay events was so impressed with us. WOOHOOO!! for now, we'll have to work on next month's Mid Autumn light-up festival dance. because we need the money to compensate for the overspending. =p

will upload pictures once i get my hands on them. now i need to rest my throat... it's so gone. =/
