jitterbugs on my tastebuds

my sense of taste is seriously screwed. for the past couple of days i taste alot of bitterness in my mouth although i haven't as much seen a bittergourd. i only realised how bad it was when,

1) my maggi mee this morning tasted bland
2) my Pepper Lunch tasted OK only after i drenched the whole hot plate in the honey sauce
3) Old Chang Kee curry puff is tasteless
4) Heineken tastes like Carlsberg, and Heineken only tastes like Heineken when it's gone warm
5) mango smoothie tastes like diluted milk
6) MY PLAIN WATER TASTES BITTER
7) MY TONGUE IS NUMB

i'm officially starting to freak out. this isn't gonna be permanent right?? huh? someone please tell me its just the jabs and the antibiotics that are working temporary mischief?! i can't afford to lose my sense of taste. i will die. i love food. come on food, let me taste you again.

and the worst thing is tomorrow, i have to go for surgery in the OTHER SIDE OF MY MOUTH. omgomgomg. and the dentist has already made me sign a form declaring that he will not be liable for any consequences (permanent numbness, loss of sensation blahblah). OHHH NOOOOOOOOOO.......

but anw, the Boyfriend and i have booked a 3 day getaway to Bintan with the Bestfriend and Bestfriend's Boyfriend and we're leaving on Monday. tasteless or not, i'm going. even though on top of that, i look like a lopsided hamster who's been boxed on both sides of the face. holiday comes first.

and the most amazing thing

he is supposed to have landed like...now. but he is still in melbourne...cos the bunch of them MISSED THEIR FLIGHT.

my first reaction was 'WHAT!?!?!' i mean. how can you miss your flight? all i can think of is that you guys

1) had too good a lunch and forgot about the time
2) went back for a good nap
3) are such last minute people
4) are too trusting of the efficiency of any other person who is not Singaporean

as usual, i'm just trying to be mean la. they were caught in a traffic jam apparently. well on the other hand i think it's a rather unexpected adventure. and they will make sure they go to the airport early next time!! will see them tmr instead. make me wait another day!! HUH!

living to pass time

i've been rotting at home and watching the travel and living channel the whole day..right now i feel really sluggish, and wish life wasn't so monotonous, but i know when school starts i will miss these rotting days. but during these rotting days, i sometimes wished i was busy. but in the end, i'm just too lazy to get out of bed. what contradiction.

darling called me twice today cos he really missed me. i really miss you too baby!! can't wait for you to come back. i have saved many more rotting days especially for you. haha. 3 more days till i see you again. life without you is not nice =(

those bouts of love sickness. sighhh.

dream dream dream

i wanna i wanna i wanna go to Batam Harris resort.

i want to go and chill by the beach, go for the spa, and do nothing else but laze all day.

it already sounds so good. i can just see it becoming real...picture myself chilling by the beach with a lychee martini in my hand, watch the sun set, stroll over to a seafood buffet dinner.

i'm gonna book my resort holiday soon man...

it's not easy to be an Ah Lian

and so i tried. inspired by Mon's attendence of an Ah Lian/Ah Beng birthday party, i attempted to dress like an Ah Lian to attend our annual Bitch Club meeting for dinner and then some clubbing last Friday.

i think i only succeeded partially. i looked more like a Chao Ah Lian. but nevertheless, i TRIED.

here're the most Lian poses i could muster.

okay, not that fantastic. being Lian is actually hard work and requires some talent.

but we had alot of fun and took somemore nice pics =)

we also decided it was time to carry out some political reshuffling.

i am now PRESIDENT. all ya bitches have to listen to me. nyehhehheh.
